Working days calculator

Court and tribunal orders often set deadlines in working days, such as filing your bundle a set number of working days before the hearing. Enter the date and the number of days to see the deadline.

Common questions

Does the hearing date itself count?
No. The calculator starts counting from the day before (or after) the date you enter, which is how most directions that say "working days before the hearing" are read. If your order says "clear days", check its wording, because clear days exclude both the first and last day.
Which bank holidays are included?
The official UK government list for 2026 to 2028, for whichever nation you pick. Scotland and Northern Ireland have different bank holidays from England and Wales.
What counts as a working day?
Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. Leave extra time around Christmas and New Year, when post is slow and offices are busy.
